My friend Claudia is an immigrant from Guadalajara.

Her family, recently ill with covid-like cold symptoms (Feb 2023), prompted her to use the Nextdoor app to reach out to her community, reaching thousands. The attack snowballed into comments including “why? do you have worms?” Other comments included 🤣 laughing at her, sent as emojis. She deleted the first post, started over to stop the cruelty.

Raised in Mexico, doctors taught Claudia what she taught me, “Ivermectin stops the domino effect of viruses and yes it is also for worms. Being raised in a third-world country, this is part of our experience and that is why it is over-the-counter for us and easily accessible.”

I worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals 1997 to 2001. We were taught to brag to Drs as part of our sales technique, proving we were an altruistic company, “We at Merck give Ivermectin free to third world countries for river blindness.” So I knew when cnn, bcc, msn, and more called Ivermectin “horse paste” that they didnt know the origination of this medicine.
